Johan Kriek spent the weekend watching some of our academy players compete at the Eddie Herr ITF tournament in Bradenton, FL. ?? Congratulations to Xenia Lipiec for winning the Palm Beach Gardens "Chip and Rip" Junior Tournament in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida today. Xenia beat the number 2 and number 1 seeded players on the way to victory. Xenia defeated the top seeded player 6/0 6/1 in the final. Xenia's opponent in the final trains at the Evert Academy, which allowed for a reunion of two good friends who go way back, Johan Kriek and Chris Evert. Congratulations Xenia!! Great job!! Jenna Thompson and Mark Agafonov both won the North Carolina Junior Clay Court Championship! 14-year old Jenna won the girls 18 division beating the number 4, 2 and 1 seeded players all in streight sets. Over the years Jenna has won the NC clay court championship in girls' 10, 12, 14, 16 and now 18s! This will be a tough reconrd to beat!
