Tennis Greats at Hurlingham in the early 2000’s

#throwbackthursday #tbt Interesting what you can find in Wimbledon cars… When Johan Kriek (@johankriek) got into one of the official Wimbledon cars last week at Wimbledon, the driver was very excited and right away pulled out a picture that he had with him in the car. It turned out to be a picture from the early 2000s taken at the Hurlingham event in London with the following tennis greats: Chris Wilkinson, Jeremy Bates, Guillermo Vilas, Brad Gilbert, Pat Cash, Johan Kriek, Cliff Drysdale, Gene Mayer, John Lloyd, Anders Jarryd, Ilie Nastase, Henri Leconte, Mansour Bahrami, Mikael Pernfors, Ross Case, Sherwood Stewart

Meet the Author

Daga Mrozek Kriek began playing tennis at the age of 9, in her native country, Poland, achieving the number 3 ranking in Juniors for three consecutive years. She has also excelled in collegiate tennis at Virginia Tech where she played for four years on a full athletic scholarship. She was named the team’s Most Valuable Player in 1996 and was a member of the Atlantic 10 Championship Team from 1996 to 1999.
