The Western & Southern Cincinnati Open is currently being played and we are taking you back to the 2008 Cincinnati tournament. It was the year that Johan Kriek & Jimmy Arias won the doubles senior event beating Tom Gullikson & MaliVai Washington in the semi-final and David Wheaton & Luke Jensen in the final. What was impressive about Johan and Jimmy’s win was the fact that Johan played only 3 months after a major back surgery.
As you can see on the pictures, 2008 was also the year of shirtless practices. Players such as Roger Federer, Tommy Haas, Jimmy Arias and others decided to save on laundry and leave their shirts in their bags
