South African Botes twin sisters and Caroline Garrido bring home 6 trophies

Congratulations to Louise-Mare Botes, her twin sister Huibre-Mare Botes and Caroline Garrido for bringing home 6 trophies from the AMP Quest For The Best Tournament in Concord, NC. Louise won the girls’ 18 division beating her sister, Huibre, 6/4 7/5 in the final. The South African twin sisters also won the girls’ 18 doubles. Caroline Garrido won the girls’ 16 singles and doubles! Johan Kriek was there to support to girls and afterwards it was time for a little dinner celebration at Johan and Daga Kriek’s house. Congratulations girls!!

Daga Mrozek Kriek began playing tennis at the age of 9, in her native country, Poland, achieving the number 3 ranking in Juniors for three consecutive years. She has also excelled in collegiate tennis at Virginia Tech where she played for four years on a full athletic scholarship. She was named the team’s Most Valuable Player in 1996 and was a member of the Atlantic 10 Championship Team from 1996 to 1999.
