Jenna Thompson 2 points short from claiming the title at a NC level 1 tournament

Congratulations to Jenna Thompson, the HondaJet NC Junior Spring State Closed Championship (NC1) Greensboro, NC girls’ 12 finalist. Jenna, ranked number 1 in girls’ 12 in North Carolina, was 2 points short from claiming the title (lost 8-10 in the third set tie-breaker). Caroline Garrido (girls’ 16) and Kaitlyn Tozzi (girls’ 10) both won their consolation tournaments. Well done girls!

Daga Mrozek Kriek began playing tennis at the age of 9, in her native country, Poland, achieving the number 3 ranking in Juniors for three consecutive years. She has also excelled in collegiate tennis at Virginia Tech where she played for four years on a full athletic scholarship. She was named the team’s Most Valuable Player in 1996 and was a member of the Atlantic 10 Championship Team from 1996 to 1999.
