ITF Pro Circuit Sumter, South Carolina USA update:
Luda Vasilyeva (RUS – WTA 624) won her first round main draw match today against Elizaveta Ianchuk (UKR) 6/2 6/2. Johan Kriek and our academy coach, Evgeny Slesarev, were both there to support Luda. “I’m happy that Luda won but it wasn’t a pretty match. Too many mistakes. We have a lot to work on still,” said Johan Kriek after the match.
It is interesting to add that Luda’s opponent today, Elizaveta Ianchuk (WTA 789), as well as her sister, Olga Ianchuk (WTA 352), have both trained on and off with Johan Kriek in the past in Florida. We wish both sisters all the best for the future!
Well done Luda!
Good luck in your doubles match today and singles tomorrow!
