Another 10K ITF doubles final for Dean O’Brien

Pro Circuit 10K ITF Pachuca, Mexico update: Dean O’Brien and his doubles partner Juan-Carlos Spir reached the doubles final after winning their semi-final that lasted over two days due to a rain delay.

In the final the former Georgia Tech teammates lost today 8-10 in another “third set” super-tiebreaker to the number 1 seeded team: Christopher Diaz-Figueroa (GUA) & Darian King (BAR) . Dean and Juan reached back two back ITF 10K doubles finals and both times lost in the deciding super-tiebreaker.
For Dean, this is the third 10K doubles final loss in a row in a deciding super tie-breaker.

Dean, as frustrating as it it, reaching three finals in a row and almost winning all of them that’s a great accomplishment! Your turn will come! Congratulations!

Daga Mrozek Kriek began playing tennis at the age of 9, in her native country, Poland, achieving the number 3 ranking in Juniors for three consecutive years. She has also excelled in collegiate tennis at Virginia Tech where she played for four years on a full athletic scholarship.
