This week at the Johan Kriek Tennis Academy:
Jenna Thompson and Sydney Landau are both competing at the girls’ 12 Clay Court National Championships in Florida. Sydney lost in the first round, Jenna won her first two rounds easily before losing to the number 1 seeded player in the third round.
Summer camps are in full swing bringing players to our academy from all around the world. This weeks visitors come from South Africa, Russia, Antigua and Austria.
On the bottom picture you see Johan Kriek with Austria’s top junior player Niki Stoiber holding Johan’s Australian Open trophies.

Meet the Author

Daga Mrozek Kriek began playing tennis at the age of 9, in her native country, Poland, achieving the number 3 ranking in Juniors for three consecutive years. She has also excelled in collegiate tennis at Virginia Tech where she played for four years on a full athletic scholarship. She was named the team’s Most Valuable Player in 1996 and was a member of the Atlantic 10 Championship Team from 1996 to 1999.
