Johan Kriek adds two high quality coaches to his team

We are happy to announce that because of our success and overwhelming demand for our academy that we are experiencing, we are adding two high quality coaches to our team! The two coaches who will be joining Johan Kriek, Evgeny and Nino are: David Irvin and Yani Arnautovic.

David was a nationally high ranked junior player in the US. He competed on the ITF junior circuit playing tournaments like the Orange Bowl and Eddie Herr. He later played college tennis in Florida. He has worked for the Casal Sanchez Academy and IMG Bolletieri Academy in Florida. Most recently he helped run a high performance tennis academy in Baton Rouge, Louisiana where he worked with several nationally ranked juniors. David is a great addition to our team.

Yani was born in former Yugoslavia. As a junior player, Yani was one of the top junior players in his native country and after moving to Germany he was also one of the top juniors in Germany in the 18-and under category. He was three time MVP on the Le Moyne College Men’s Tennis Team is Syracuse, NY where he played on a tennis scholarship. As a coach, Yani was a sparring partner to a number of top players on the professional tour including Andrea Petkovic who is currently ranked 18 on the WTA Tour. He traveled with Petkovic and her team to the 2007, 2008, 2009 & 2010 US Open as well as 2010 Australian Open. Yani was also a part-time associate on John Isner’s traveling team at the 2010 Australian Open, 2010 Atlanta Tennis Championship and the 2010 US Open. Yani also has a strong fitness training background. He was an off-season part-time assistant on the Carolina Panthers fitness program. Another outstanding addition to our team!! Welcome David and Yani!! What a team we have! We are ready to make even more noise and bring our players to yet another level this upcoming season!!

Meet the Author

Daga Mrozek Kriek began playing tennis at the age of 9, in her native country, Poland, achieving the number 3 ranking in Juniors for three consecutive years. She has also excelled in collegiate tennis at Virginia Tech where she played for four years on a full athletic scholarship. She was named the team’s Most Valuable Player in 1996 and was a member of the Atlantic 10 Championship Team from 1996 to 1999.
